What ping will I get with a 100mbps WiFi (Fortnite)?

Ok. To start off, make sure that your router has a maximum of 100-120 Mbps. Since I too have a router with 100 Mbps. I am also a wireless PS4 Slim player

Alright, let’s start off…

Personally, I believe that anything above 85 Mbps is considered great for 4K (HDR) gaming.

I have a PS4 Slim with 90-120 MBPS with upload speeds of 8-10.5, and from my experience, I found out to have a maximum ping of 15 ms. I normally experience average pings of 5–10.

It depends on how far away you are from the router, however. If your room is far away from the router, then your ping will be higher. However, I don’t expect it to reach more than 30 ms.

If you’re wondering where I got 100 Mbps from, my family and I got Spectrum 100 mbps (Download) Internet for $44.00

As asked in the question, at 100 mbps the ping time would be around 22 minutes. Most ping programs time out after a few seconds and would not measure such a long ping time. How did I get this figure?

One 64 bit packet out and on 64 bit response = 128 bits (ignoring any protocol overheads).

100 mbps (millibits/second) is 10 seconds per bit.

128 x 10 = 1280 seconds = 21.333 minutes ignoring any overheads.

You probably meant 100 Mbps (Megabits/second).

100 Mbps is not normally a speed that is used for a WiFi connection. 100 Mbps is normally associated with some ISP connections.

You will probably get better results if you avoid WiFi and connect to your router by Ethernet.

Update:

Some people don’t seem to understand the difference between milli (with a small m) and Mega (with a large M), which is a billion times (10⁹) larger and submit erroneous comments based on their misunderstanding.

The most important aspect for games with real time online server synchronization is

1.Latency ….>low

2.Minimum bandwith…..high

3.Server location…..close

4.jitter…..low

Latency is the amount of time taken for the packet to make round trip.

Latency<50 …. awesome!

Latency<100…..good!

Latency<200…. playable

Latency>200…..not worth playing cuz you'll get killed before you even see the other playing killing you.

Bandwith is the amount of data sent over the stream.

Jitter is the non uniformity of packets that reach your device.

It must be less than 20ms.

To play pubg on PC:

You must need a high speed and a good high quality network(like act fiber)!

Answer:

Each gaming system has its own requirements for these capabilities, but if you have a download speed of at least 3 Mbps, an upload speed of at least 1 Mbps, and a ping rate under 150 ms, you should be covered for most online games including pubg and fortnite.

Phone:

Your mobile data is way more than enough and the latency is always good if your able to load Wikipedia pages without long waits.

I play pubg on mobile even when I exhaust my mobile data so 129kbps was enough that's a lot less I know.

The end✌️
